The Village Clerk maintains an email notification list that receives all public notices from the Village of Pinehurst. Any individuals interested in being placed on this email notification list should contact the Village Clerk and provide an email address to be added to the list.

The North Carolina open meetings law extends to all “public bodies.” N.C. General Statutes define the term “public body” as any board, commissions, committee, and so forth, in state or local government that has at least two members and exercises or is authorized to exercise any of these powers: legislative, policy-making, quasi-judicial, administrative, or advisory.

All official meetings of public bodies must be open to the public (unless closed sessions are permitted) and the Village Clerk must provide the public notice.
