The Fire Chief reports directly to the Assistant Village Manager and serves as a member of the senior leadership team with office hours Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Thirty firefighters, one Assistant Fire Marshal, and one Fire/Life Safety Educator protect the Village and rural district from two stations with four engines, two brush trucks, and a rescue truck.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Protecting the life, property, and environment in an area encompassing 28.91 square miles and approximate population of 19,580, including a rural county district and the Town of Taylortown
  • Educating the public to promote preparedness for all hazards
  • Conducting fire inspection, suppression medical first response, and rescue services

  • Responding to approximately 2,500 incidents annually

The Pinehurst Fire Department operates from two locations. The main station is located at 405 Magnolia Road and can be reached at (910) 295-5575. The substation is located at 15 Parker Lane and can be reached at (910) 295-0530.
