Materials and Guidelines
The Public Services Department works to provide residents with an effective recycling program. Recyclable materials are collected curbside once a week.
All recycling can be co-mingled and then is sorted at the recycling plant. Materials should be placed loose in the Village provided cart and placed by the curb no later than 7:00am the day of collection.
There are, however, materials the Village does not accept, even though they may be recyclable. Please see the information below to determine what items the Village collects and which items are accepted at other locations.

Recycling Electronics
The following electronics are accepted at all Moore County's compactor sites between 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Monday-Saturday:
- PCs, Hard Drives, Laptops, Mice
- Scanners & Printers
- Televisions
- Copiers
- Servers
- GPS Devices
- Cell phones & PDAs
- Typewriters
- Video Games
- Telephone Systems
- iPods & MP3 players

Glass Recycling
Moore County has opened glass-only recycling containers at its landfill convenience sites. These self-service drop-off sites operate from 7:30am-7:00pm Monday-Saturday and are completely FREE to Moore County residents.
Please note: only beverage containers are permitted. Ceramic, dishes, drinking glasses, cookware, window pane glass, light bulbs, and mirrors are prohibited.
