DUE TO THE POSSIBILITY OF RAIN AND HIGH WINDS IN THE FORECAST FOR SATURDAY, WE ARE RESCHEDULING THE OKTOBERFEST FOR OCTOBER 29.
Big changes are coming to Oktoberfest- a new location, more games, vendors, and contests. The fun kicks off with Kinderfest, a fun festival for children, with lots to see and do for the whole family. There will be carnival games, a pumpkin derby race, entertainment, and contests from 1:00 PM–5:00PM.
The fun will continue in the evening for adults from 6:00 PM–9:00 PM with a traditional Oktoberfest featuring German music from the Holzhackern Tyrolean band, folk dancing, the first annual Pumpkin-Apple Baking Contest, and an Oktoberfest Games Arena.
Food and beverages will be available to purchase throughout the day including brats, sauerkraut, pretzels, hot dogs, pizza, sandwiches, soda, beer and wine.
Advance registration is required for the Bake-off and the Pumpkin Derby Race. Visit www.pinehurstrec.org for entry forms. Admission is free.
