Public Hearing - Amendments to the PDO

Notice is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Village of Pinehurst Village Council at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022.  Members of the Village Council and Staff will be participating at Village Hall, 395 Magnolia Road, Pinehurst, North Carolina.  The meeting will be streamed in real-time on the Village's website, at www.vopnc.org/live, for public viewing/listening and video-recorded for future reference.

The purpose of the public hearing is to discuss text amendments to the Pinehurst Development Ordinance (PDO) or address documentation of existing nonconformities.  These proposed amendments would affect the following section of the PDO:

Section 2: Administrative Rules; Nonconformities

Additional information on the above agenda item will be available for public review at Village Hall in the Planning and Inspections Department at 395 Magnolia Road, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and online by visiting https://pinehurst.novusagenda.com/agendapublic/  on or after October 20th, 2022.

All persons interested and wishing to be heard can attend this public hearing at Village Hall in order that their comments may be made a matter of record.  To ensure that as many people in attendance are able to provide public comments on the proposed amendments and to cut down on redundancy, a time limit of 3 minutes for speaking is established by the Village Council.  Comments on the public hearing may also be sent via email to the Village Clerk, at publiccomments@vopnc.org to be forwarded to the Village Council.

The Village Council will hold a closed session immediately following the Special Meeting pursuant to NCGS §143-318.11(a)(6) to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of an individual public officer or employee or prospective public officer or employee: or to hear or investigate a complaint, charge, or grievance by or against an individual public officer or employee
