The Pinehurst Greenway Wildlife Habitat Committee and Save Our Sandhills invite you to join us for Amphibian Art Classes for kids ages 8-12. Young artists will observe live native frogs and salamanders and recreate them on paper or canvas. The class will begin with a 30-minute nature walk through frog habitat led by a Weymouth Woods park ranger, and then a 60-minute art lesson taught by Briana Scott, art teacher at Highfalls Elementary School and 2017 teacher of the year.
Two sessions will be offered: 10:00am and 1:00pm. Admission is free, but registration is required by June 1 at www.surveymonkey.com/r/frogart. For questions, contact Nicole Benbow at 910-295-1900 or nbenbow@vopnc.org.
