The Village of Pinehurst is developing plans to build a 19,555 square foot Community Center to be located in Cannon Park near the corner of Rattlesnake Trail and Hwy 211. This facility will house programs for all age groups and will include a full-size gymnasium with court lines for basketball, volleyball and pickleball, a multi-purpose room, various classrooms for programs and activities, offices for Parks and Recreation staff, restrooms, storage, and a small concession/catering kitchen.
Interested in learning more about your new Community Center? Drop in on Thursday, March 22 between 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of Village Hall, 395 Magnolia Road, to see the Community Center's design progress and share your suggestions with Council, staff, and the architects.
This meeting will be facilitated by Oakley Collier, architects for the Community Center project. There will be three stations set up with updated building layouts, site plans, and elevations. In addition, there will be lists of existing programs that will take place in each room and new programs that will be added/expanded. The architects will also discuss the Community Center's outdoor amenities, such as the patio and its ability to tie in to the walking trail adjacent to the building. Participants (including children) will have an opportunity to provide ideas for new programs and activities they would like to see in the new Community Center.
