The world’s best junior golfers are returning to the Pinehurst area for the 18th annual U.S. Kids Golf World Championship with more than 1,500 boys and girls, ages 5-12. On Tuesday, August 1, to celebrate what is regarded as the most prestigious of all junior golf tournaments in the world, a parade of nations will take place in the village center.
The Parade of Nations will begin at 6 p.m. at the Pinehurst Resort Tennis Club, with a route taking the parade participants down Carolina Vista toward the Carolina Hotel, right on Ritter Road, right on Chinquapin Road. It will end in the center of the Village of Pinehurst.
The public is invited and encouraged to join the thousands of participants and their families from over 50 countries for what promises to be a memorable event in Pinehurst.
There will be food options for purchase and family games immediately following the parade at Tufts Park.
Please note: Carolina Vista will be closed to local traffic from 5:00 -6:30 p.m. Cherokee Road, Chinquapin Road and Village Green West will remain closed until the completion of the parade.
